: About Me

i am 57 years young,love to write since i was small. i have written a few songs. One or two i sing myself in church. love poetry, i have written a lot of poems the words just come to me naturally.some from the ordeals of life,others fiction.Iwant to try my hand at writing stories. i was married at 17 years old,have 4 wonderful children.lost my first husband to cancer when he was 47 .i was 42. spent 10 lonely years alone but in 2005 remarried.My poem Take me with you moma,won Golden poet Award in 1989 was chosen and published in Great American Poems of The Western World. in November 1989.

Take me with you Moma also won for me my name in inclusion in WHO'S WHO IN POETRY,1990 BY,Eddie Lou Cole,John Campbell Editor and publisher.The poem Remember me was accepted for publication by Quill books in may 1992, the book is called Listen With Your Heart.

Ahh, memories of my teenage years that was a time in the 60s I was happy and care free,life for me consisted of helping around the house with all the chores,going to school,and playing ball,or somekind of tomboy game with my five brothers.Mostly I remember the bike rides ,exploring in the woods you name it we did it.All the boys in the neighborhood use to show up after school to shoot some hoops or play softball.Since I was the only girl mom didn't like for me to play with all those boys so lots of times I was stuck inside watching all the fun through the window.That was a time in my life ...
