About me - Pat Grant

About me

My name is Pat (short for Patricia). I have been writing since I was quite young, but have never published professionally. I am 54 years old, not married. I am an avid reader, and a fan of a variety of subjects, ranging from science fiction / fantasy, to detective/crime novels, to horror, to action, forensics, paranormal, and lots more.

I have six cats, who are more like children to me than pets... but no I'll never be the "neighborhood cat lady" because six is my limit, and two of them are elderly.

I have held many jobs, but never found one that suited me, although I've been in my current job for 18 years. I have a college degree in theatre and English. I was in community theatre for a few years, but never really pursued it. I've always wanted to write. I am full of life experiences and opinions, so figure it's time to try my hand at writing about these things. In the past I've written mostly fiction. I'm currently writing my first game modules (stories) for a gothic horror role playing game campaign.

I have many hobbies and interests, and find myself wishing I had 2 more of myself!

I love writing and just never seem to have enough time to devote to it. And I have always wanted to travel and see the world. I would visit all my friends. However, when you take a deeper look at this, can you ever truly be without responsibility, or would you want to? For instance I am single, but I do have cats. That involves a lot of responsibility. Having NO responsibilities would mean that I would have to not have them around for a yea...
