: About Me

HI!
I am a small business owner in Chapel Hill NC. The name of my comapny is Mobile Mechanixx, and as the name should imply, I am a mechanic that travels. I generally try to stick to maintenance and roadside repairs, but usually have 2 or 3 cars at a time at my shop to work on large problems as well. I have been a mechanic for about 13 years. I started working on cars, beginning with my own, at the age of 17. I did this because the first time I had a problem, one shop tried to talk me into a $300 brake job, when the next shop charged me $5 to grease a wheel bearing....and the problem went away. I decided then that I wanted to be able to fix my own car.
From there, I began restoring Mustangs with a friend. This hobby eventually kept me so intrigued that I ended up doing it professionaly.
I have always tried to be completely up front and honest with my customers, and to date it has always paid off. All of my customers become repeat customers, and will always be quick to refer me. I am proud of saying that I believe I am one of only a few mechanics left that are truly honest.
I tend to write articles on car service here on helium, but I also write on other subjects, usually political, and how things should be done "Pauls Way". The link to that blog is in my favorites to the right, titled "My "world issues" blog"

My reasons for blogging are multifold, but the main reasons are to get my ideas out to the world, and hone my once-better-than-now writing skills in preparation of writing a novel.

Running I run as fast as I can. The breathe heaves in and out of my lungs like buckets full of sand. I glance over my shoulder. I cannot see anyone there, but I know I will soon. This terror cannot continue without attracting someone's attention. Soon, there will be someone on my heels, looking to track me down, looking to hurt me, possibly looking to kill me. I can hear the screaming. It is unbearable in my ears. Is it me making such terrified sounds? The screams could easily be mine. They are ragged, yet piercing. Only lungs as labored as mine could let loose such cries. Help must be on ...
