I am a Professional Writing major at SUNY Cortland, currently trying to figure out what to do after that. I enjoy most kinds of writing and like to keep my hands in essays, creative nonfiction, short fiction, novels, and others.
Ideally, I would love to be a full-time comic writer. I believe that the combination of words and images found in comic strips, comic books, and graphic novels are very powerful and can positively affect people of any age and any level of intellect. Until then, it remains a hobby.
I think that talking is pretty great stuff. You can learn just about anything in the world if you're willing to talk with somebody. You can also fix most problems with most people if you can talk calmly and coolly and be honest without being mean.
I am considering pursuing teaching in the future, though fields like advertising and design also appeal to me. I just might try them all out and see what I like. Opportunity is great like that.

When teaching about diversity, the most important thing to remember is to be fair and equal. It is a simple enough rule, but it often is forgotten. Suppose you want to teach a lesson on different cultures around the world. Which ones would you cover? You could look at England, France, Russia, Germany, India, Japan, and China. Sounds like a decent list, right? It covers a number of large, important countries. It may not talk about all of them, but it is a start. Try making your own list.
