About me - Tina Kelleher

About me

My name is Tina Kelleher, I'm the wife of a stay-at-home deadhea.. uh, I mean dad and mother of a beautiful 2 year old little boy. I'm originally from Boston, MA, but spent several years living in northern Vermont before relocating to Washington state in March of 2007.

In college, I majored in English mainly because I had no sense of direction, but knew that I'd be able to pull off reading books and writing papers with very little effort. The older I get, the more I'm starting to appreciate the value of being able to communicate clearly, especially in the face of ambiguous or controversial subjects.

I decided to sign up on Helium mainly because I feel like I've had enough life experience to make solid, useful contributions to the articles appearing here.

If you enjoy my writing and would like to visit my personal blog, you'll find it at http://tkelleher75.wordpress.com

Perception is reality. If there's one truth in life that I've learned thus far, that's it. It's the reason why two different people can walk out of the same movie theater with completely different viewpoints on what they liked and hated about the film they just saw. Take the movie "Harold and Maude", for example. I know as many people who count it among their favorite movies of all time as I do who saw it once, hated it and don't care to even discuss anything about it. It's the same movie, so why such opposing viewpoints?

Those who have had experiences similar to mine are of the ilk ...
