I am a journalist and freelancer in Central Iowa, where there is always so much going on that I can hardly stand it. I love to write and explore new things. In my free time (what's that?) I like to travel and keep up on the latest happenings in the sports world. The only sport I really play anymore it tennis, but I really enjoy it.

I am the father of two daughters and the step-father to four others. When all six get together, it can be quite the scene! We get our share of stares. My youngest daughter is autistic. Believe me, that keeps you on your toes. But I don't mind, while they do make me age prematurely, they also keep me young. When I figure out how that works, I'll let you know.

The slogan for Walt Disney World used to be: Four Parks, One World. Anyone who has ever been there knows what they mean. Disney is so much more than a theme park; it's actually four theme parks! And while it is sometimes called the most magical place on Earth, what it offers is no illusion. More people travel to Disney World than any other single place.

Why? There are many reasons. It has great weather year round. There is plenty of great hotel space and one of the most convenient major airports known to man. But of course, that isn't the main reason.
