God is basically known for what He is. He is the Provider for all life. He is the one that all things owe their life to. It is His good pleasure to see His creation have life. He wants us to love Him. He gave us free will so that we can love Him willingly. His Great love for us is shown by His gift to us of our ability to choose Him or to choose otherwise. How could He be a Good God unless He gives us the ability and the option to choose for Him or not. He chose to give us life.
