In July '08 a friend sent me a link to Helium, and with that I found was the opportunity to challenge my own writing skills. Before Helium my only connection to seeing my name in print was via the occasional par' within womens magazines, and that was so many years ago.
Long ago, retired from working within the housing construction industry, and living on the East Coast of Australia. My focal interests have changed over the years and many of my paper-craft and gardening articles here show 'where I've been'. Since then, experimenting with my camera and thinking more 'photography' has become my passion. Much of this now becomes content for my blog, Carole's Creative Corner at dragonfly47.blogspot.com I hope you'll come visit me there too.
My passion is ...
nature's bounty, bird-watching, photography, blogging and keeping in touch via emails
I know too much about ...
not sure; think it's great if we can .. "learn something new every day"
My parents always told me ...
...just eat some more of the veges'
My childhood ambition ...
to be a typist
My favorite memory ...
getting lost in reading Enid Blyton books: The Enchanted Wood; Magic Faraway Tree; Secret Seven and The Mystery of ... series
Why I write ...
for the challenge.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Steve Parish' Bird Photography, camera manual (!), watching travel documentaries, Escape to the Country, Kevin McCleod's Grand Designs ...
My first job ...
office jnr at Formfit (lingerie mnfr.)
My best moment ...
way back in 1970; and moving into that first home
My inspiration ...
websites and blogs connected to creativity and nature photography; I'm a 'visual' person and love to see color displayed in various crafts and admire the professionalism of many artisans in their own crafts, whatever it might be. Always enjoy seeing what others are making.
