I am a fifty eight year old man who's long outlived any usefulness as far as this life's concerned. I have lived on the outskirts of a tiny, little town near the Kentucky Lake in Tennessee for about forty nine years. We are more than twenty five miles by two lane highways from any place of any size (or the nearest Wal-Mart). My wife and I have been married for forty one years and have two children and five grandchildren. Our grandkids range in age from newborn in November 2009, to soon to be seventeen years old in January 2010.
Since leaving the farm, I 've worked as a logger, and sawmill worker, as well as in construction as an equipment operator, laborer, carpenter, and iron worker(rebar and welding). I also worked as a deckhand in the maritime trades for a time in my youth, but the bulk of my experience has been as a professional driver and in law enforcement. Living in a rural area with very little in the way of jobs, I've had to work away from home most of my adult life. Suffering debilitating injuries in the two latter fields of endeavor, on three separate occasions I'm now disabled. I dabble in writing in an attempt to retain a modicum of sanity.
My interests inculde but are not limited to studying the Bible, anything to do with history, government, warfare, tactical and strategic philosophy, weapons and weapon systems, old boats, quality science fiction, action and adventure movies, fishing, and hunting.
My passion is ...
Our country,Our Grandchildren, Old boats and the sea
I know too much about ...

To maintain sanity
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Too much to list here

My best moment ...
I haven't had it yet, I hope!

Jesus, and the Bible
The Blood Avenger You have no idea, And I fervently pray that you never do, You have no idea, What horrors I’ve seen and been a witness to. You are a child, In your innocence and wide eyed trust, You are a child, With no thought or knowledge of God’s disgust. O’ my LORD, what have we done? I’ve seen the world aflame, all burning down, Angels in obsidian armor glinting in the sun, And heard the baying of Hell’s hunting hound. Your mercy we have squandered all away, All away, Sweet Jesus, all away! I am a hammer, Hardest of outlook and bleaker of soul, I am a ha...
