Elizabeth Robinson grew up in Toronto, Canada and in 1981 moved to Mexico where her Mexican mother and Canadian Father, were residing in a wonderful small city called Cuernavaca, an hour south of Mexico City. It was there that David, now 26 and Daniela, 23, were born.
Elizabeth, started teaching English in 1990 and progressed through the teaching system all over the country, until becoming Principal of English for the American School of Veracruz and Villa Rica for 10 years. Because of her love of books, and the editorial industry, she left her teaching career and joined the largest Editorial Company in the world, Scholastic Mexico as an Academic Consultant. She works from her home in Veracruz, developing English programs, visiting schools and promoting Scholastic all over the country.
She has published her poems and short stories in American magazines such as Womens Forum and Listen Magazine, self-published. She has given seminars to MEXTESOL - The Association of English Teachers of Mexico about Teaching Children to Write Poetry - Using Poetry to Teach Your Class and has given several courses throughout the country on Teaching English in Mexico in General.
In her spare time, she also works as Head of PR for an agency she runs from home with her partner, that sends Mexican students of all ages to Canada to study in the Public and Private school systems. Their agency also hires English teachers to teach and live in Mexico.
Miss Ely, as she is known by the thousands of English Students that have studied in her programs, is now proud grandma, of her treasure, Nicolas David.
