First and foremost Jesus is my rock and salvation.
I am a mom, wife, confidante, friend, spiritual leader and encourager. I am finding new talents I never knew I possessed before. I am at a time in my life where I am finally beyond being referred to as solely someone's mom or wife. Although I am known to many as someone's mom or wife, I am also becoming known for being Annie. I recently was in a fashion show and got pretty good reviews. I am surprised as I am overweight and average. But I had a blast and got to wear some beautiful clothes. I am making new friends and strengthening old relationships. This is a wonderful time of life for me.
I have two girls in college and a son who has his PH.D. I have been married thirty-five years to a wonderful man who has been my best friend as well as my husband. I do not currently work, but like to garden, preserve foods, make soap, putter around, help people with their spiritual life, and would like to learn how to cook like a gourmet chef. I have yet to learn how to combine complex ingredients to bring out their best. I have to learn to use a timer also. I am on a wonderful spiritual journey with the Holy Spirit teaching and growing me.
In 2007, I obtained a B.S. in business from Colorado Technical University Online. I learned many computer skills such as the ability to research. Finding out that I had leadership abilities, I led several successful teams of classmates to achieving A's on group projects even when some members were not "A" students. That said, I graduated in the top ten percent of my class.
I currently live in a rural area of New York State and I love it here. I am not a city person, and I love the simplistic living that the countryside offers. However, I do like to take in the cultural side of the city at times.
I am a spiritual person and am close to God. He is my rock and salvation. I attend a local church that is awakening spiritually and is becoming an Acts 2 church. It is an exciting time and I just love the fellowship and support that I give and receive. God is awesome!
Although I have stopped writing for Helium for now, I am sure I will get back to it sometime in the near future.

Teenagers are the perfect snack eating machines munching their way through anything that tastes good to them. However what tastes good to them is not necessarily healthy for them. Teens love to eat junk food; foods that are high in fat, sugar, salt and calories and empty in nutrition. The trick to getting them to snack on healthy wholesome foods is to have nutritious, easy to grab and eat foods readily available at all times. One of the reasons junk food is so popular, is that it is prepackaged and doesn't need much if any preparation to eat. Making healthy food more accesble is a key comp...
