I'm a black LDS convert who joined the church when I was 15. I am an only child and the mother of 8 children. I have a bachelor's degree in French and a master's degree in Foreign Language Acquisition. I also certified as a doula and childbirth educator.
On my good days, I do fun activities with my kids, the house is clean, and a yummy dinner is on the table at a reasonable time. On my bad days, I mostly just read.
I've been married 15 years to a wonderfully patient man who contintues to love me-even on the bad days.
One of my greatest achievements was travelling alone with my three small children (ages 4, 2, 1) on a transatlantic flight to Belgium to be with their father who was working there for the summer. We didn't speak Dutch and we all lived in a studio apartment with no TV, phone or car. It was one of the hardest and best things we've ever done.
Another great achievement was the 14 hour flight back, alone with three small children who didn't sleep for the first 13 1/2 hours and then wouldn't wake up at all when we landed.
All vaccinations are not the same. All children are not the same. Across the board vaccinations for every child, regardless of their individual circumstance or health, is ludicrous.
