I am a 39-year old single mom of two wonderful daughters, a boyfriend, a few fish and a few cats, living in Alberta, Canada. Being raised military, I learned early the advantages to being adaptable and I believe that helped my creative side as well as giving me strength to survive the trials the universe decided to throw at me. Some think I have had more than my share of problems tossed my way. Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. How can we learn if we do not experience? We can learn from observing, yes, but usually the best and most enduring lessons are those taught to us directly.
I write not only about opinions and experiences but I also write fiction. Mainly in fantasy and science-fiction (for those of you who don't know, there is a distinction between the two, though at times a fine one) but I also dabble in the young adult, children, macabre, odd, and fiction with a spiritual tilt.
My children are first in my life but I naturally love books. Music, history, psychology, art are things I'm also fond of.

It's too early for him to forget that the balcony door is actually closed as he attempts to pounce at birds like the brave lion he thinks he is. What do I do with this thing? It's too early to see him bolt up and down the hallway and then forget th...
