Badgett is an enthusiastic gardener who enjoys sharing information with others. She works as a plant technician at Foothills Nursery and Herbs and writes how-to and garden articles for several sites online. She is co-author of the 2010 book “How to Grow an EMERGENCY Garden”. She is licensed in pest managment and certified in greenhouse production and managment.
Her writing experience includes stints for newspapers and magazines. She has worked as editor on several in-house newsletters, written press releases and worked as Director of Communications for a non-profit planetarium and nature center.
