Corky von Texasheim has worked as a writer, an art model, a welder, an actor, an interpreter, a tutor, and about fifty other professions during his young life.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Medical Anthropology from the University of Michigan-Flint, and is currently studying for an M.A. in English and Linguistics at West Texas A & M University.
His current academic research is about the interchangeability of words for analgesic pharmaceuticals.
He hopes to be the "fun Grandpa" in his 80s, entertaining his future grandchildren about his days as an archaeologist, or bouncer, or working at a TV station in South Dakota, or any of the other strange jobs he's held.
He has a forthcoming documentary film entitled "The Ghost at the Banquet" about the stigma associated with developmental disability.
He hates the state of Nebraska and will never go there again, even if for a gazillion dollars and a free Cheese of the Month club. He lives in Amarillo.
