I grew up as a member of the television generation, and I'm still addicted to the tube. I really believe I was born a few years too late. I should have been a child of the early fifties, largely because my family beliefs and values are more like that era than the chaotic times of the seventies.
I'm a true lover of the animal kingdom, as my two doggies will attest, love NASCAR, Stargate SG-1, and Patrick Swayze. I've flirted my entire life with photography, stamp collecting, sports of various kinds, and writing, too. My background is more journalistic (amateur) than creative, though I now write fan fiction for SG-1 as well.
As a newcomer to Helium, I'm not really sure where this is going to take me, but I wanted to give it a shot and see if there was any interest for my ramblings on this, that, and the other thing.

The 1960's had a bumper crop of successful child stars, from the darling five and six year olds to the swinging teenagers who were actually young adults in age.
