About me

Jack McDonnell, an Arizona resident since 1975, has spent the past forty years in international finance and credit administration. Although retired from the investment banking industry, Jack now continues his entrepreneurial pursuits in the arena of Internet Marketing.
McDonnell's background spans a wide cross-section of business. Following his tour of military duty in Europe and Asia, and upon completing his formal education, Jack began his career in business finance. His formative years were spent as a senior V.P. at Commercial Credit Corporation, in Baltimore, Maryland, one of the world's largest business lenders. After moving to Arizona, he served as president of the leasing division at Rauscher Pierce Refsnes and was a registered securities broker. Jack opened Ambanc Companies in 1980 and for the next two decades provided business lending to countries throughout Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. His career is highlighted by the twenty years spent in China and Southeast Asia pioneering business and cultural opportunities.
Due to McDonnell's expertise in various areas of international finance, in the late 1970's he was asked to assist the Carter administration in developing financings for alternative fuels. Due to the success of that program, Jack was invited by Edward Meese (Chief of Staff) to serve as the Assistant Secretary of Energy in the Regan administration. Due to both personal and professional considerations, Jack chose to remain in Arizona.
As a pilot, with multiple jet aircraft ratings, aviation has been a long time passion of McDonnell's. In 1980, he was invited to co-chair the aviation task force for the state of Arizona under Governor Babbitt, and was instrumental in creating an agency which now controls the growth of Arizona's airports.
McDonnell's official retirement was short lived and he very quickly phased into a mode of "semi-retirement" as a consultant to business owners. Jack then took his business experience and advocacy for small business to the air waves as a show host for his weekly one hour live broadcast, "Access to Capital".
A long-time supporter of the arts, McDonnell has served as president of Grady Gammage Theater, an Arizona landmark located on the campus of Arizona State University. Jack is an avid golfer and resides
in Phoenix with his wife and family.
