I have written poetry for years and have several published in the International Library of Poetry, Noble House, the International Society of Poets and won several Editors Choice awards, statues and medals. My poems may be viewed at Poetry.com, Writers-Network.com and now here at Helium.
I have a degree in Criminal Justice, and I am also the secretary and on-site administrator for a non-profit organization called New Leash on Life (www.nlol.webs.com) in my community that has been established to save the hundreds of animals that are strays from starvation and euthanasia.
Since coming to Helium, I have found that I am able to write about world events, animals, religion, peace, war, as well as other topics, with the same fervor and joy that I write about poetry.
I live on 16 1/2 acres of wooded beauty that is the inspiration for some of my poems and stories. When I write, the door is open to complete expression of not only how I feel, but how I view the world and its vast components. I have thoughts and opinions that count, so I hope some of my articles and poems will: inspire, make you cry, laugh, get angry and think about the world we live in.
I am also the Channel Manager for Political and Economic Theory. You will always find me in the Writing Critiques Forum or in several of the boards. If you need any assistance, I will always be available and happy to help.
Sincerely,
Nanette Piotrowski

Instead of resolving this country's issues, which has been going on for several decades, that you are more interested in fighting like a bunch of 2-year-olds over a toy than getting to the bottom of our economic crisis. For too long all of you have had your hands in the pot and could care less if the people of this great country are starving in the streets. As long as you can continue to fill your coffers on the backs of hard-working Americans, you could care less. It has been your greed and ine...
