I was born in Rockledge, FL, in 1978; I have lived in Brevard County most of my life. My aspiration as a young man was to join my family's military tradition, so I enlisted in the US Marine Corps at 20, but my career was cut short due to medical issues just shy of 2 years into my contract.
I've tried my hand with some success at a number of things, including military intelligence, retail and call center management, and commission sales. My true love is this great republic I call home, however, and I have enjoyed two forays into local politics as a candidate for my county school board in 2006 and for mayor of my city in 2008. I am currently a student at the University of Central Florida, majoring in political science and minoring in history.
When I'm not studying or enjoying peaceful nights at my part-time job, I share the joy of free enterprise with others through my Amway-affiliated independent business (http://shop.wesjoyner.com). Building great relationships with my business associates and clients keeps me motivated on the long road to success.
