I never knew what I wanted to do with my life, so I had no particular ambition.

My favorite memory ...

When I first opened the tent door flap at 6 a.m. at Les Jardin de la Republique in New Brunswick, I was amazed at the mist shrouded hills around us (we had set up camp after dark the night before). That's when I fell in love with travel.

Why I write ...

I started writing because I want to share what I have learned about travelling with a pet.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Reading: travel books; watching TV series on DVD (love Stargate Atlantis); I don't really have any particular favourite music, mostly like rock.

My first job ...

summer job at a lodge in the Muskoka region of Ontario. Unfortunately, as a teenager I had no appreciation of nature.

My best moment ...

I have three special moments in my life that have changed it drastically for the better: When I met my boyfriend, Wayne, of 21 years, when I discovered photography, and when I got my dog Tessi.
