: About Me

I have always loved to write. I have file folders filled with ideas, subjects for magazine articles, books and short stories. Unfortunately I have never found the time to put them all into a cohesive mix. Now that my children are (almsot) grown and my husband is now an ex, and there is no time like the present - I think I will. I think I can.
My favorite subjects are family dysfunction, genealogy and cults. Sounds fun, I know but don't let that scare you. This is the first thing I've written on Helium and hopefully it will get me moving and writing.
I have lived in a suburb of Seattle for the past 30 years and spent my first 25 in the Bronx and have pretty much seen everythign in between. I'm looking forward to this new adventure.

Testimonies: Mental illness and the effects on a family I seem to be surrounded by mental illness. I started keeping charts on who in the family suffered from some mental disability. I feared having children of my own and managed to put it off until I was 36 years old. My twins were born when I was 40. One of my twin daughters is now 18 and diagnosed with Bi-Polar 2.
