I am a historian with a number of passions ranging from my specialism (women's intellectual history)to good coffee and Italian gelato. Writing is, of course, one of these passions, and I have written both professionally and for fun. I cut my creative writing teeth in the weird and wonderful world of net-based fandom, and hope to build on that experience by completing a novel or two. In the meantime I want to broaden my horizons as a writer by experimenting with different forms and topics beyond the twin poles of academia and fanfiction.
