Finally....all about me. A little bio humor to lighten things up. I am your average Jill and not looking to fill anyone's head with nonsense about myself. I like anyone who can make me laugh and it's not hard to do. Humor is one of life's addictive pleasures.
Writing: I put my passion neatly away inside a little metal school desk along with the sharpened pencils. As antiques have become the rage I have taken them out again.
My style is creative fiction. I believe the majority of fiction has happenned to someone out there as the world is too far reaching for it not to have and because our ideas are formed from the world around us.
I work in "Insurance" so one might think that serves as explanation for the need of a creative outlet. Insurance can be far more interesting than you'd think.
I enjoy writing and am amazed at what the mind can toss out there. Teachers recommended writing/journalism to me in school but I obviously wasn't listening at the time. Better late than never.
I haven't written much since school until about a year ago when I decided I needed to spend more time doing things I actually liked. I immediately embarked on writing a novel. I have been told I have high expectations and I'm just now getting that there might be some merit to that.
I think as we near middle age that question comes up. Am I doing what I really want to be doing in life? School and writing were a long time ago yet it beckons still. Dreams don't die...they just lay dormant until your mature and or wise enough to see the value of them.
Needless to say Here I Am finally taking a chance on doing what makes me happy. Good writing to all and I hope I get the opportunity to converse with some of you out there.

Guilty pleasures - who came up with that? Perhaps, someone running on too little sleep? The words guilt and pleasure simply don't go together. That's the work of a twisted and unrested mind, ask any Catholic and you'll see. In my house you can put these two together and it works. My husband's pleasure is the snooze button and the guilt belongs to me as I regularly consider smashing the little button to smithereens. Unfortunately for him, pleasurably for me, he has to get up much earlier than I do. I tend to be a bit of an insomniac and he is someone who can fall asleep a...
