: About Me

I suppose I could start by saying that the individual who you thought was Art is actually a person called Scott.

Art is just a pen name that I use for most of my writing, I don't know why I choose or continue to use that name it's just been with me for such a long time that to abandon it now would almost be as bad as throwing out a comfortable pair of old slippers

There's not really a whole lot more that might be new or interesting with this min bio, that hasn't already been repeated many times over, in other's little piece of surbanet.

That is to say I like many others are passionate about writing or the crafting of words to satisfy that inner urge, that compels us to look at the world, and retell it with our own personal and individual flavors.

I have loved writing forever, or for at least as long as I can remember, and am especially passionate about comics, sci-fi and creative writing (in general).

I have not attended anything better than High School, but have received my doctorate from the school of hard knock :-) and am proud of the person who looks back from the mirror at me each and every day, yet within this forum I feel that to be just as I am is counter productive, and would only waste my time and those that take the time to read and critique my work, so therefore Helium is another avenue for my own self improvement, which is exciting to say the least.

I hope this endeavor gives me the grounding to pursue my passion to it's fullest and would dearly love to supplement the weekly pay check with some writing checks from the marketplace, and as my wife says, why not shoot for the stars and try and for fill your dream of becoming a full time writer, I initially balked at this idea, but the more I think about it you just never know what's around the corner.
