I am a 25 year old wife and mother in the Portland area. I graduated high school a year early so that I could get out on my own. I love to learn and writing is my passion. Poetry is one of my favorite forms of expression, but I also like to write about God's love for us, debate important issues, and much more. I love to write (obviously), and to read. To-date, I have not been much of a story writer, but I am currently working on my first novel.
My goal is to one day publish my writing in the form of a book, and to lift up and encourage people everywhere with my writing. I hope to help many come to know the saving love of Jesus through writing, prayer, and speaking. I would like to start an organization one day that advocates against abortion, gives pregnant women in crises a place to go, and counsels them in a time of need.
I am also currently working on a series of children's books based on the adventures of my two daughters =] I'm doing the writing and animating myself. I hope to enroll in the Institute of Children's Literature in the near future.
All I really want to do is show love to the people around me, to write, and to serve God with all that I am. I am a glass is half-full kind of person, and can see the good in almost every situation. I guess some people would call me a "pie in the sky" kind of gal. I have been called "annoyingly optimistic" and I'm fine with that. I've recently come to accept and appreciate the fact that I am not only a bookwork, but kind of a nerd as well.

Je Serai… Moment by moment, time passes Without sympathy or regard for desire The longing within me expanding Until I am consumed by your fire The day’s length a perpetual ire Grasping, gasping for air to breathe While sanity slips lightly away from me Inching closer, just beyond reach Your hands extending, the saving breath Half full of hope, half sick with dread Once connected, explosion ensues Spreading through me to the depths of you Long withheld the fires were Now freed at last, they rage and burn Cloaked in each other, all others spurned Moment by moment, time slips awa...
