I've been writing and editing professionally for twenty years, mainly in government communications because I have a strong commitment to ensuring taxpayers know how their money is being spent.
But I'm also interested in reflecting on life, and the challenges and solutions we come up against on a daily basis.

Modern parent, or logistics guru?
When did I sign up to be a logistics manager?
Ten years into parenting and that's essentially what I feel I've become. I could do it in my sleep, or even for the army.
I have one eye on the school logistics assemblies, excursions, money, lunch, permission note, transport options all kind of under control - check.
Then the other eye is on their after school activities sport, music, and perhaps a chance to play with another child away from school, or, heaven forbid, someone not from school.
