I am a grandfather of five little girls approaching retirement from a career which included both service as a military officer and manager of a trucking company. I have always enjoyed writing letters and look forward to writing on a variety of topics when I have more time in retirement.
I particularly enjoy humorous episodes from my Army and private business experience and will probably pursue writing about them. I also am passionate about politics and government and have written many letters to the editor and to politicians voicing my opinion. I look forward to doing more of the same.
Writing is a great outlet where you can share your thoughts and dreams. It keeps the brain working and probably will help me to live a long and active retirement.

So off they went, in the gray mist wit...
