As a young girl I remember all too well my very first diary. Within its pages I had written many short poems, and daily activities, and soon noticed I was buying a different diary/journal every three months. Before I knew it I had a whole drawer full of written material that only my closest friends read and enjoyed. Since then I was told I had a gift for writing. In college, years later, I handed in a paper which my Psychology professor loved so much, he had me read it aloud and that's when I first noticed I had a true gift. That paper got me an A+ in Psychology, high praises from both my professor and classmates, and opened my eyes to a fresh new world of writing. Topic, of course being "aggression," which I knew all too well growing up in the Bronx.
Since then I have focused all of my free time on writing and submitting my written work to countless writing contests, published two poems with the National Library of Poetry, and continued my pursuit and my passion to write by joining Helium, Ezine and Triond respectively. My passionate fields are romance, crime, and drama; and my life has been loaded with a lot of each to keep me writing for years to come. I am also delighted to have read some of the other writers work within this site and just recently became Executive Editor to a start-up magazine, which focuses on relationship issues.
Although I can be my hardest critic, and still think my work may not be up to par with the majority of my helium friends, I am glad to even be among them, and thank you for reading and or commenting on my work.

To blame his doctor for obeying a patient's instructions is not the way to go about this. His doctor may have enabled him to continue taking drugs he knew were not suited for his health, but Michael chose to take them among other drugs to get rid of the pain that not only plagued him as a child, but the pain he continuously suffered due to the Pepsi Cola commercial that scarred him on the outside a...
