I am currently teaching Public Speaking at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. I have also developed courses in Argumentation and Debate, Group Communications, Intercultural Communications, and Leadership. I enjoy interacting with the students and I am a firm believer in what holocaust survivor and Nobel Prize Laureate Elie Wiesel once said. "I am a teacher and a student...one is both always." Before I began teaching at the University level, I was a professional journalist for a daily newspaper. I miss writing and I hope to engage in the process with other writers in the Helium community.
