My name is Bernadette Adkins. I am married with 2 children. I work full time as an Occupational Health Nurse with my local municipality. My formal title is "Return to Work Coordinator". Informally, my title is "That B- that goes to the doctor with me and makes me come back to work." I've been a nurse for over 15 years and while I love what I do, I want a new career. Well, not so much a career as work that allows me to be creative and be home for my children and family. My husband just about passed out when I announced to him one day I no longer wanted to be a nurse. Any one who knows me would agree I have an opinion on everything. It has taken me many years to tone down my opinions as not everyone appreciates brutal honesty. While I'm still not politically correct, I am a bit more tactful. When I found this opportunity to write articles on almost any topic I was ecstatic. Add to that the possibility of earning money, well..... what could I do but join and start writing. Most of my writing experience has been on health care topics and has been published in the employee newspaper. I am looking forward to writing many articles in the future.
