About me - Aubrey Clark

About me

Hello, I am a believer, husband, father, business owner and aspiring writer, in that order. I live in Atlanta Georgia with my beautiful wife and four children. They are truly the light of my life and God's greatest gift.

I am a graduate of Johnson and Wales college with a degree in culinary arts. I thought I wanted to be a chef and changed my mind 10 minutes after graduating. At the ripe old age of 41 I have yet to use my degree accept to pester waiters with over-cooked food.

I sold my mortgage business in 2005 and went into semi-retirement which lasted for all of ten minutes. My wife and I now operate several financial based websites and offer website marketing to local mortgage companies.

As my opening line may indicate my political views are socially and fiscally conservative. I would not call myself "far right" or a centrist. I believe the government should do less, spend less and tax less. I believe the majority of our taxes should be spent on the indigent and national defense. My social views are in line with my Christian faith.

It would appear that most, if not all, columnist and writers feel that it is politically correct to point the finger at smaller brokers and lenders branding them "greedy lenders" and "predatory lenders.Maureen Downey a columnist at the Atlanta Journal Constitution writes; "Lenders and brokers didn't fret about a borrower's long-term prospects of maintaining payments because they collected their profits at the closing table; th...
