Hello! I've been writing for Helium since January 2007.
I love the stimulating topics, open opportunities for publishing, and chances I've found to befriend other writers of diverse backgrounds and interests.
Helium is an empowering place to be a writer, and we are all developing a special writer's community here.
I will be serving as the Site Steward for the Creative Writing channel. I'd like to get to know the writers contributing to this channel, and find out how Helium can help you in your writing path.
I'm putting lots of effort into helping build the Creative Writing channel to be the best of its kind on the web.
If there is any way I can help you, please feel free to contact me!
I've been married for twenty-one years, to a very nice man, who happens to be an amazing person and poet. We have three wonderful beasts between the ages of six and seventeen.
I edit and publish a small poetry 'zine. I'm also a poet and have had quite a few poems published in small 'zines and ezines.
My passion is ...
my family.
My parents always told me ...
I'm not better than anyone and no one is better than me. We are all equal.
My childhood ambition ...
to write successful young adult novels.
Why I write ...
because I have no choice. Otherwise, my head would explode.
My first job ...
was at a florist shop.
My best moment ...
was having a poem published in a textbook.

Diana lay in the grass, face down, staring into a large patch of pink flox. She'd been there for over an hour. Waiting. The sun was warm on her back but she'd keep waiting until she saw it again. She knew she saw it. Not it, really, her. Diana had seen her and she was going to capture her and put her in a jar. That way, her brother, Tom would have to believe her. Tom was five years older than Diana and rarely believed anything she had to say. He almost never had time for her since he started high school. If she captured the fairy, she'd have proof and he couldn't ignore such proof...
