: About Me

Hello!

I used to edit and publish a small poetry 'zine. Due to no funds and lack of time, I had to stop publishing it. And I miss it very much.   I'm a poet and have had quite a few poems published in small 'zines and ezines. My shining poetry moment was being published in a textbook.  Isn't that what all poets want?  To have our work forced on people? 

I've been writing for Helium since January 2007.

Writing for Helium is an awesome journey.  There are so many opportunities for writers here.  No matter what kind of writing you do, there's a place for you here.  Chances are, you'll not only learn about writing, but you'll learn about yourself, too.

I will be serving as the Channel Manager for the Creative Writing channel. I'd like to get to know the writers contributing to this channel, and find out how Helium can help you in your writing path.

I am also the Channel Manager of the Drama subchannel.

Please feel free to contact me about any of the Creative Writing channels and I'll do my best to help you out. 

I am the Senior Channel Manager for Creative Writing, Food & Drink, Parenting & Pregnancy, Celebrations & Holidays, Religion & Spirituality and Society & Lifestyles. I help out the Channel Managers of those areas. If you need any help in those channels, I am always available to give anyone a hand.

I've been married for almost twenty-five years, to a very nice man, who happens to be an amazing person and poet. We have three wonderful beasts between the ages of nine and twenty.

My passion is ...

I'm not better than anyone and no one is better than me. We are all equal.

My childhood ambition ...

to write successful young adult novels.

Why I write ...

because I have no choice. Otherwise, my head would explode.

My first job ...

was at a florist shop.

My best moment ...

was having a poem published in a textbook.

Saint Lucy (Or Santa Lucia) is the patron saint of the blind and of people who have problems with their eyes. The name Lucy means light or clear and radiant.   There isn't a lot known about Saint Lucy.  Some sources say she was born in Syracuse, an area near Sicily,  in Italy in 283 A.
