I'm just this guy, y'know? Stepfather, pilot, musician, network systems analyst, and would-be writer (as in 'I would-be a writer if I had more time to write and was better at it'). One thoroughly unpublished - but finished - novel figuratively gathering dust on my shelf (okay, it's on my PC hard-drive... so it's gathering electrons maybe - what do you want from me?).
My passion is ...
Music, flying, and my family.
I know too much about ...
Useless, trivial things like jingles from the '70s and all of the linking verbs.
My parents always told me ...
I was an accident, and owe 18 years of room & board.
My childhood ambition ...
To be an oceanographer... then I found out they don't all get mini-subs.
My favorite memory ...
Hard to choose - playing Dungeons & Dragons late summer nights as a teen would be one.
Why I write ...
I can express myself better on paper than in person.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Lord of the Rings (annually), Everybody Loves Raymond (daily), and the same music I listened to when I was 12 (religiously).
My first job ...
Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers... sadly.
My best moment ...
Safely landing a light airplane following an engine failure.
My inspiration ...
My wife, my mom, and my best bud.
T H E B O Y S O F N O R M A N D Y Have you heard of the Longest Day And the many men that went away? For every five that made it ashore One mother had a son no more And they were mowed down on the beach They were murdered 'til they made a breach Never came back across the sea And their bones are still in Normandy Were you told of a tragedy Wrought from mankind's inhumanity By German truck prisoners of war Hauled out to a field, then let machine guns roar And they just left them in the snow Several hundred lifeless G.I.Joe Did we forget them in our victory? Tell that to them boys at Malmady...
