During my 20 years working at the Neutron Scattering Laboratory, Indonesia, I feel I have been doing a lot of things, not only scientific matter but also technical things like software and hardware compromising my scientific productivity.
Anyway, I am grateful that I have had a chance working at the Neutron Scattering Lab at the Los Alamos National Lab., U.S.A during my graduate school. The work was related to the magnetic structures on uranium intermetallic compound, which was done under the supervisory of Dr. Robert A. Robinson with collaborators from the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, East Germany and within the states. Dr. Robert B. von Dreele, co-creator of GSAS - General Structural Analysis System, was one of my doctoral examiner. It way a very prolific days for me, at least.
After my Ph.D in Physics, I went back to Indonesia working at similar facilities, but with a much different infrastructure. I sometimes teach at the Pelita Harapan University. I enjoy writing and sharing knowledges.
This has something to do with kid's perception achieved in their early ages. Naturally, kids in their early ages have lots of interest in exploring, trying and testing new things.
