I grew up in a household that did not hold back from correcting grammer & encouraging the use of proper english. My mother was a high school english teacher as well as a singer/songwriter & my father literally followed the beat of his own drummer. They met while playing in a band together, so it's no wonder that I would inherit the gene of creativity along with my desire to perform.
I have my Bachelor's degree in Theater Arts from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities & am currently anticipating the opportunity to go back to Hamline grad school for my Masters in Teaching K-12 Theater Arts & Dance this fall. My motto is, "What better purpose in this life than to pass it on?" Listening & telling stories, teaching & learning lessons are what people are built to do.
I've always enjoyed attempting to write poetry. I say "attempt," because I find that no matter how good one or two people find it, there are always one or two more who will say, "I don't get it." Does anyone else ever feel like their message is transparent, & yet only famous writers inspire people to analyze their words? Maybe it's just me & I should save my poetry for myself. :)
Essentially writing is therapy for me & many others. Now, I am expanding my horizons & trying to write for other's enjoyment. I am finding each time that I write for an audience I am creeping ever closer to an element that agrees with me. After all, I was born to entertain in one form or another & what better way to connect with an audience than through the most fundamental, thorough & extensive way to communicate.....writing?

Film is an artistic medium that has the ability to touch on a broad scope of topics, emotions, and subject matter. Taking these notions into consideration, it felt only right to select films that I would deem among the "best" in their respective genres. ACTION: Batman Begins (2005) and Blade Runner (1982). Batman Begins stars Christian Bale, Katie Holmes, Michael Cane, Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson, Tom Wi...
