: About Me

First and foremost, I am a guitar junkie.  I spend so much time with my beloved box with strings that some of my relationships have suffered.  For example, I had a beautiful, loving girlfriend, but I had to make a choice.  Now I still can't find enough time in the day to play. 
 
You know what the best thing about that is though?  It means I discovered my passion.  For so long I was spinning my wheels in this world and I finally found what makes me tick.  We've all got a passion, some people just don't realize it yet.  If you haven't found yours, I hope you do.  
 
Writing is something I've dabbled in over the years and I have had a handful of articles published in newspapers and magazines.  I've always enjoyed it but never actively pursued it.  Lately though, I'm fantasizing about a life free of the confines of a workplace, which for me is a poker room in Lake Tahoe where I deal Texas Hold 'Em.  The money is good, but you've gotta spend too much time in a casino to get it.  Maybe writing can help me realize the dream life, where my office is wherever I choose.  Did I mention I love to travel?
 
Anyway, I'm going to start writing again and see what happens.  Helium seems like a great place to fire up the ol' engine.
