About me - Kristina Nelson

About me

I am a wife and stay-at-home mother to a blended family of six children, and a freelance writer. I recently returned to college for a Journalism degree. I love to do research and plan guest speakers for organizations. I have experience homeschooling two of our children, and successfully and continously encouraged them to try everything they are interested in (at least once). My family and friends encourage me and are constantly asking me, "When are you going to write your book?"

Briefly me

My passion is ...

My family, writing, cooking, gardening, and pioneer life skills.

I know too much about ...

Sibling rivalry, breast cancer, bullying in schools, living frugal and on a tight budget.

My parents always told me ...

To always leave home with clean underwear.

My childhood ambition ...

To write a book and be a "mommy". Ever since I was a young girl, I have always wanted "mommy" as my career. As I entered the third grade I became obsessed with writing. I would sit and write a book of poems on a book of notebook paper stapled together.

My favorite memory ...

Taking family trips to Florida. The very last time we went we stayed in a duplex 75 yards from the beach.

Why I write ...

I have had a passion for it since I was very young. I don't feel normal if I don't have paper and pens nearby at all times.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Christian Fiction

My first job ...

Pharmacy Diner Waitress.

My best moment ...

When I was pregnant.

My inspiration ...

My kids, my Mom, my Dad, and my Aunt.
