Hey everyone. I am Hannah, known as Hans by my mates.
I've been published! Yay! my first book has arrived in the post, and is available at major bookstores online. It is entitled A Question of faith: Rob and Claire's story, and i am in the middle of writing its sequel.
This is the blurb:
Claire Tarrington felt blessed in life, with a loving husband, a nine year old son and a property in the country. However her world is turned upside down as a result of an accident which turns her husband into a complete stranger. As Robert closes himself off from family and friends, Claire tries desperately to find a way back into her husband's life, whilst coping with his injuries and the death of her mother-in-law. She is faced with finding the key to unlock her husband's mind before it is too late and the family ties are severed beyond repair.
I love writing (obviously), I have written short stories, revision guides and two novelas up to date, and now have been attracted to writing articles at this site.
Once I start writing I have no control over the matter, the words, characters take over and just write themselves. Lol once in the course of writing my second novela I lost myself in a chapter and just wrote solidly for two hours. I then had a break and reviewed it later. I was horrified! one of the main characters had died. I had had no intention of killing the poor guy off but it had just happened. I kept it in however because it just felt so right, that it was time for him to go. So I just gave him a really moving funeral in the next chapter. Lol I know I'm crazy by the way.
I am not the only writer in the family. My mother, who is also a member of helium, has published a book on her memories of my brother's life and my experiences living through a bone-marrow transplant entitled "A song for David"

The Victorian era is renowned for being a time of great changed; England's industry and religious beliefs were altered and challenged, and cities rose up changing the face of the country forever. The beliefs of Christianity suffered greatly and the era heralded the beginning of the loss of authority and power the Church held over the people. There are several reasons why the sovereignty of Christianity was threatened; for this was the era of the Enlightenment, where reason and science questioned time old superstition and religious beliefs.
