: About Me

> My name is Chelsea and I am an LPN. I am married with two wonderful boys. I have been with my husband since 1982. He is my best friend and my rock.

I began my nursing career as a nursing assistant in 1984. In 2000, I graduated from Jackson Community College as an LPN.

I started writing when I was very young and have always wanted to be a published writer. Helium has given me a great start in the world of writing.

I started writing here on Helium in 2008, but then took a break to study writing further. I have just recently returned with better writing skills.

I have completed several writing E-courses including: Daily writing tip, Suite 101 writing lessons, Wordtracker SEO and linkbuilding course, 16 week course by Article writing secrets and Gotham E-course on How to develope your craft. I continue to learn through E-courses and online writing courses.

I am hoping to continue my writing career here on Helium and eventually branch out as a professional medical writer.

I enjoy writing about diseases, illnesses, treatments, health, exercise, diet and nutrition. 

My hobbies are reading, writing, and gardening. I also enjoy listening to music.

I hope to meet some nice people here on Helium that I can eventually call my friends.

My passion is ...

nursing and writing. I have always dreamed of writing a book. Helium is helping me start that book by offering it's learning pages.

Nothing, there is always learning going on in my life. There is always something I can learn about!

that I could be anything I want in life.

My childhood ambition ...

Was to become a nurse. I started my nursing career as a medical nursing aid in 1985. Then went on to nursing school in 1998 and graduated with a degree in nursing in 2000.

My favorite memory ...

The day each of my children were born seems to compete with my wedding day. I have now been married 27 years and have two beautiful boys age 25&26...life is grand!

Why I write ...

Because it is a passion that I can't help doing. I think it's in my blood.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Books. To laugh,cry,wonder,and learn.

My first job ...

Was as a nursing assistant, taking care of the wonderful elderly population.

My best moment ...

When I was offered money for a writing! I still can't believe it happened to me.

My inspiration ...

To keep tough ,to keep going on in life. I have have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic pain, sciatica, herniated discs and severe depression. I have a wonderful, understanding husband and two wonderful children. They are my inspiration. They have taught me acceptance. They have taught me how to fight for my life. They have taught me that no matter how much pain I am in and how depressed I am, that they are here for me, they still love me and I matter. Yes, they are my inspiration.
