About me - Marilyn De Angelis Pennell

About me

I am a teacher, journalist and media producer. Just about one month ago today I returned home after a four month voyage circumnavigating the globe on the Semester at Sea. Along with about 30 other college and university faculty, I taught and mentored students (there were 735 in all) as we visited 11 ports in South America, Africa, Asia and Central America.

Travel is my passion. I enjoy exploring and experiencing new cultures and meeting people from all walks of life. In 2006 I visited China as a Fulbright Fellow. I also travelled throughout Japan and taught English there.
