: About Me

I enjoy writing a great deal. I am 43 years old and I have been writing ever since elementary school. Poems about animals were my first venture into the art of prose. As I entered my teenage years, I wrote about science fiction. However, it took me until my college years when I finally found the topic that I enjoyed the most. It was writing romance stories.

Helium will be a great outlet to write about different types of topics and to receive feedback. I am looking forward to receiving both good and negative criticism. How else can I improve as a writer if I don't learn from other writers' perspectives?

I am a native Californian who has a Master in Business Administration. I am half American Indian (Apache and Navajo) and half Filipino. I have never been married and do not have any children. My favorite television shows are Dancing with the Stars and Desperate Housewives. I enjoy playing tennis and running. Politics is also a passion of mine. Needless to say, I am having so much fun watching the presidential election this year and it is only May.

Why I write ...

I write to have fun. It allows me to write about certain situations that I may fantasize about, but never had the opportunity to be in.

Currently, I am reading Killed in the Ratings by William L. DeAndrea. I listen to pop and country music. I watch CSI New York.

My first job ...

was as a media intern for the Lieutenant Governor.

My best moment ...

I have two. 1.) I acquired enough points to earn my Varsity letter. 2.) I graduated with my MBA.

With the current success of the television series Swingtown, the media is trying to bring the culture of swinging into the forefront. Many marriages are in the swinging mode, but it is usually a clandestine culture. Your neighbor could be in an open marriage and you would never know it.
