: About Me

I started reading 'real' books at 8. Alice in Wonderland woke me up to the world of stories in print, Hans Christian Anderson's tales continued the love affair. I memorized The Little Mermaid at the age of 6.

I have been writing since I could use a pencil. While I have changed to a word processor, nothing else has changed. My love of writing and joy in producing stories for others as well as for myself has never diminished.

In fact, the more I write, the more stories seem to want to pour out of my fingers, ceaselessly and effortlessly, and of course, the more I want to do it.

People ask me where I get my ideas. I don't get them, they get me. Sometimes when I least expect them!

I'm the crazy hippie bitch who doesn't let her babies/kids cry, even for a minute, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that there is also NO spanking in my house. The rule I live by? Break the cycle, any way you can. My kids are now 27, 25, 17, boy, girl, boy, and I bet if you asked them they would say they were okay with not being spanked. Never had a bloody lip from me, no pants pulled down at the age of 14 and whipped, no bare-bottomed lashings with the old rubber shoes. I am so PROUD of that!
