Candidiasis Albicans, also known as a yeast infection, is more a balance issue of micro organisms in the body than an infection. When an overgrowth of yeast begins to tip this delicate balance it becomes a fungal infection and our bodies react in many different ways. Causes for this imbalance can be:
* Long term use of oral antibiotics such as Cipro, or erythromycin
* Steroids
* Thyroid disease
* Use of oral contraceptives
* Intestinal parasites
* Diets high in sugars
* Chemotherapy
* Compromised immune systems (Aids/HIV)
* Excessive stress
