About me

Hey, everyone!

Like so many others, I'm new. At least I'm new to this website. Actually I've been around long enough to be called a senior citizen. The important part of me is, I really like to write. I've done it all my life. I've published a few articles and short stories. and now I'm working on a book.

In the meantime, I've lived several lives. No, I am not a candidate for my doctor daughter's couch. . But to make the proverbial long story short, I raised three girls, worked many different jobs, had my own businesses and was always, always busy. Somehow, in the back of my mind, I was always writing. I have continuously edited books, magazines and media broadcasters for grammar and punctuation. Now that I'm retired and have time to myself, I can put myself in front of the computer and do what I should have been doing all my life.

I am anticipating making new friends who share my interests and desire to learn. To my new compatriots, hail! Please write to me. I tend to be terse but I have a big heart under my direct replies. Farewell for now.

I didn't expect to be gone so long when I said fairwell; however, chemotherapy tends to rearrange your schedule.More on that later.

Extraordinary Friendships They may be black, brown, red, white or gray; large, medium or small; male or female, but there is no doubt that dogs are our best friends. Dogs are loyal, protective and understanding of our mood shifts. They ask for little in return: a warm bed, some food and water, and an occasional pat on the head. How many humans would be willing to give as much as a dog in return for almost nothing? Not surprising to a dog lover, many breeds of dogs are being recognized as service animals. No longer are they confined to hunting or herding chores or guard duty. They are now a...
