By no means do I view myself as an expert when it comes to wikis, but I do believe that they have the potential to be an extremely useful tool in the area of collaboration. When I was completing my undergraduate level coursework, I worked on many projects with many different people. The only "gathering place" we had was when we were in class or if we set up a meeting in the library, Starbucks, or somewhere else that was accessible by all. Occasionally, everyone was able to communicate through e-mail, but sometimes you didn't have one of the addresses, or someone didn't check their e-mail, ...
