: About Me

My “Career‘s” so far

I am a Midwestern baby boomer, born in 1951, in Wichita, Kansas. I have had several “careers” starting with waiting tables for the Marriott Corporation. In December 1980, I partnered with a friend to start our company, E.S. Investments, Inc. Under this banner we developed oil fields, by leasing, drilling, completing & managing oil wells in the Illinois Basin.
In 1992, I sold my half of E.S. Investments, Inc & started a cook from scratch restaurant featuring our own sauces from Caesar Salad dressing to Steak Diane Sauce. I owned & managed the restaurant for 5 years.
For the last 8 years I have been in the leisure travel business. I started by working at a brick & mortar travel agency, & then started my own home based travel agency, Envision Vacation, which is my “current” occupation.

My interests & Hobbies

I am a big fan of science fiction, & since childhood, the late Robert A. Heinlein is my favorite author. I also believe the very best science fiction television series is Battlestar Galactica, with Babylon 5 running a close second.
I also consider the game of chess the best board game of all time, & consider the game a great way to relax.
Finally, I enjoy dry red wine, especially French red wine as my favorite adult beverage.

Earth, our home, has nursed our species of humans for untold years & now, in the last 200 years or so we as a species are maturing at an ever accelerated rate, (knowledge doubles every few years). Just like a toddler, who first crawls, then walks & finally runs. Man is beginning to walk, beginning to explore & harness space.
