About me - Marianna Lamare

I was born and raised in rural South Dakota, one of ten children. I grew up 'wild', with lots of animals, open space, and blue skies. The Lakota culture was a great influence on me as was my father, who's family came from Quebec, who was a historian and writer.

Gazing down at the large dog bed in the living room, my heart is warmed at the sight in front of me. Curled up together like ying and yang are our two beloved animals: Zelda, the grey and white cat, and Lizzie, the big red golden retriever. Who would have ever thought it possible? In the past, we've had cats and dogs who rathe... More..

"A frantic howl whipped occasionally from a gap in the window frame. With a blast, it rattled the pane with its rising pitch and then slid in spirals back to a constant whirring sound. The Prairie is My Garden[paragraphs that begin with '*' are meant to be in italics}* There was something about the painting, The Prairie is My Garden by Harvey Dunn, that never left me: the feeling of the wind blowing my hair, holding fresh picked flowers, the feeling of determination, of pure love of the land. Over a year ago, I was just beginning weekly life-coaching sessions with Clint Pardoe, full of anticipation to work on my self, to create a better life where I would feel more fulfilled and confident. I had always thought life coaching was for younger, college students seeking help with careers; my own son had benefited great... More..

The Law of Attraction concept caught my attention a couple years ago when I first saw The Secret DVD. (The Secret, DVD, 2006, TS Productions) While it was liberating to think of being able to attract more of what I want into my life, and I certainly could see how this law had worked in my life both positively and negatively, ... As I breathe into this Sunday morning, I take in the quiet respite from my long 'to do' list. After heating up my cup of ginger tea, I glance at the little quote at the end of the tea bag: it says, "The beauty of life is to experience yourself." Sunday morning traditions of slowing down, sleeping in a little later, and specia... More..
