He was staring at me from across the room. I couldn't help but look back. His eyes were icy blue but they weren't cold. They were inviting and familiar. It was as if I'd known him from something long ago. I felt kind of awkward but I couldn't break his gaze. Then he smiled. Finally I could turn away. I wonder if he noticed how red my cheeks were.
