I am 49 years young and have discovered my passion for writing. I love to sit down and focus my thoughts into a story, or opinion. I enjoy revealing a little about myself each time I write.
I was a stay-at-home mom for 18 years. My son lives with his dad in North Carolina and it is my boyfriend and my daughter that light up my life. She is 16 and an amazing human being.
I have been writing quite a bit about the complexity of relationships and marriage as well as teen challenges. Obviously those are things I know a lot about and I feel I have something to contribute. I am currently writing a book about my story and putting together a cookbook. I have also written a children's book and am trying to find an illustrator to put it all together.
My goal is to be a published author.
I am in the next phase of my life, and am very excited about the journey I am on.
I used to think that 40 was the end, but I am just beginning and cannot wait to turn 50.

I wasn't looking for love when I met him. I didn't want to deal with anything more than a dinner date. A little casual sex would be okay too. Things didn't quite turn out that way though and now the reality sets in. Love can be messy. It is not always warm and fuzzy. It most certainly does not always keep you warm on a cold winter's night (flannel does that). The reality of love is oftentimes mundane, day to day and occasionally boring. Love is farts, belches, nose picking and bad breath. This is not gross. Bodily functions are a fact of life and the truth is we hide all of these bad habit...
