Hello

I just joined the Helium family on the 23rd of April 2008.

I am a stay home mom of 5 kids. Their age range from 16 to 4 years old! So I would say that I have faced all things that a kid can throw at a parent. I hope I can share with you my experiences with my own children.

I was a teacher with a Secondary school, working with teenagers for 10 years before I 'retired' to look after my own children.

I have a wonderful group of friends who give me great support and inspiration. We have been friends for over 20 years, shared our teenage love life, marriage, children woes and joys. Every couple of months, us ladies, will gather for a 'Ladies Nite' out and leave the kids and husbands back home. Usually we will hang out at one of our homes as we like to share our 'deep, dark secrets' and not want other people eavesdropping on us.

I have plenty of stories to share with you all! I hope you all enjoy my articles. I look forward to making new friends here.
